What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to your present experience and naming what is happening without avoidance or criticism. Through this awareness, we learn to train ourselves to be less reactionary and not get caught in automatic patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting.

    Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

    Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is a therapeutic technique I often utilize during individual sessions. When indicated, MBCT can provide clients with powerful tools to help become aware of emotions and reactions as they happen.

    Mindfulness Classes

    Mindfulness classes are 8-week classes that can be taken in individual or group settings. During this program, participants learn fundamental principles of mindfulness to allow them to better manage stress, navigate the challenges of every day life, and tap into a more whole version of themselves.   • Mindfulness classes meet for 1 hour sessions weekly for 8 weeks. Each week, you will learn exercises that should be performed daily at home in between sessions. Please contact me to learn more about scheduling a class.
