About Me
Hello! My name is Nicholas Terry. Thank you for visiting my practice, Longs Peak Counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor in Fort Collins, CO. I work with clients to help them feel empowered to take control of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to personalize and tailor therapy to meet your needs and preferences. My goal is to fully support you in your efforts to make the changes you need to in order to feel more safe and content in your life.
What to expect
My belief is that we all have a resilient nature and if you are in a safe and empathetic environment, you can heal from mental and emotional distress. Together, we will explore the events and the relationships in your life that have influenced the way you see yourself and the world around you. Therapy will provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to become aware of patterns and belief systems, as well as provide you with tools to become more intentional within your life. I also believe that authenticity is key to any therapeutic relationship and you can expect me to be my genuine self in session. Sessions can range from feeling informative and validating to conversational and lighthearted, but they will always be focused on your goals and for your benefit.
Change can be difficult and may be painful at times. My goal is to provide you with unwavering support and kindness in your darkest, most challenging moments so that you are never alone in your journey.
